James Rock, son of the late Maxwell Rock and Loatelia Dwyer Rock, was born on January 3, 1947 in Sumter, SC. He departed this earthly life on October 18, 2026. He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, siblings, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Friday, October 30, 2026 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 1275 Oswego Highway, Sumter, with the Rev. Daniel Bennett, officiating. Internment will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery.
