Bertha Prioleau Hunter, the daughter of the late Elias Prioleau, Sr. and Beulah Oxendine Prioleau, was born on April 4, 1945 in Sumter, South Carolina. She departed this life on Monday, October 12, 2026 in the comfort of her home with her son holding her hand. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Her precious memories will be cherished by her two sons, family and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life services will be held 2:00 p. m., Saturday, October 17, 2026, at High Hills AME Church, 6780 Meeting House Road, Dalzell with the Rev. Phillip L. Washington, Pastor. Interment will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5660 Cane Savannah Road, Wedgefield.
