Fred “Teeny” Laws, 86, departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Sumter Health Rehabilitation in Sumter, South Carolina. Born on March 6, 1940, in South Carolina, he was the son of the late Bennie Laws and Geneva Fourtune Laws. Fred attended school in Lee County, South Carolina, and later moved to Sumter County from Elliott, South Carolina, where he made his home and became a cherished part of his community. His memories will be cherished by his daughter, family, other relatives and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of his daughter, 64 Wilder Street, Sumter. Celebration of Life Services will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, September 16, 2026 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. J. Elbert Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
