Evonn Drayton, 64, daughter of the late Bennie Drayton, Sr. and Minnie Lee Williams Drayton, was born on February 13, 1962 in Sumter, SC. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at her home. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and employed with Covenant Place of Sumter. Her precious memories will be cherished by her son, family and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 805 South Harvin Street, Sumter, with Elder Barrington Pierson, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1379 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 719 North Main Street, Sumter.
