Deloris Champagne McFadden was born on January 13, 1950, in Lee County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late George Murray Champagne and Willie Mae McDuffie Champagne. On August 25, 1972, she married the late Harvey Lee McFadden. Deloris peacefully departed this earthly life and entered into the arms of her Heavenly Father on the morning of July 19, 2026. Deloris was formally educated in the public schools of Sumter, where she attended Lincoln High School. Deloris had a rare passion for cleaning and organizing spaces. She shared that gift through her work and retired from Sumter School District 2 in 2017 after many years of dedicated service as an Environmental Services Technician. Deloris leaves to cherish her memory: her daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 5560 Highway 15 North, Sumter, between the hours of 3:00 – 8:00 p. m. Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 a. m., Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 184 Lake Ashwood Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Angela Hampton, Pastor and the Rev. Ernest W. Frierson, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery.
