John Neal Floyd entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, South Carolina. He was born June 22, 1952, to the late Edward and Louise “Sing” Speech Floyd. “Mickey”, as he was affectionately known, was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and a graduate of Ebenezer High School, Dalzell, with the Class of 1968. “Mickey” enlisted and served in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1988. He was a member of Joshua Missionary Baptist. His memories will be cherished by his children and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 P. M., Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Joshua Baptist Church, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell with the Rev. Eugene G. Dennis, Pastor and the Rev. Dr. Kimberly Green, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery.
