Rembert, Sr. and Rebecca Brailsford Rembert. God in His infinite wisdom called him from labor to reward on March 2, 2026. Ashby was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Ebenezer High School. After graduation, he relocated to New York. He later committed to serving his country and enlisted in the United States Army. In addition to serving in the Army, he was employed by Korn Industries, Georgia Pacifica Furniture, and Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital where he worked until his health declined. Ashby accepted Christ and was a member of the Joshua Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a Trustee, Usher, and Adult Choir Member. He was also a member of Catchall Masonic Lodge 425. His precious memories will be cherished by his family, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Joshua Baptist Church, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Eugene G. Dennis, Pastor, Rev. William Jefferson, Officiating and Pastor Margaret Parker of Chosen Vessels of God Ministries, Dallas, Georgia, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery.
