Mr. Hammie Lewis Duncan departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 after a brief illness under MUSC Hospice Care. He was born in Lee County, South Carolina on November 1, 1945 to the late Reverend Henry Duncan, Sr. and Lizan Hollomon Duncan. At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined Spring Hill United Methodist Church. Later in life, he joined Mt. Olive A. M. E. church, where he was a faithful member. He was educated in the public schools of Lee County, South Carolina and graduated from Dennis High School. He was the owner and operator of Hammie Duncan Garage in Camden, South Carolina for over 33 plus years and later retired after 10 years from the City of Columbia.
