Welcome to Williams Funeral Home

Lillie Haynesworth Hickmon Hackney, wife of Robert Louis Hackney, was born on April 10, 1934, to the late Earl Haynesworth and Hattie Moses Haynesworth in Camden, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on February 16, 2026. Lillie was affectionately referred to as the pied piper because she was loved by her family and many children from the community. Lillie loved singing and sang with a gospel group known as The Silver Caravan and later with the Corinthians singers. Lillie was the director at the recreation facility, Birnie Center. Although Lillie married young she was not content being only a housewife, so she pursued her passion for doing hair and completed Cosmetology school, and eventually completed her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Benedict College. Lillie leaves many family members and friends to remember and celebrate her life. Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A. M., Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 155 Wall Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Larry C. Weston, Pastor and Pastor Allen Nesmith, pastor of Saint James United Methodist Church, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Sumter.
