Mrs. Mary Sue Peterson, 83, widow of Douglas Peterson, Jr. and daughter of the late David and Viola Carter, was born on March 13, 1942 in Sumter, SC. She departed this life on December 16, 2025 at her residence. Public viewing will be on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p. m. in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, S. C. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11:00 a. m. at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery, Highway 15 North, Sumter.
