Retired SFC Stevie Randy McCall “Big Mac”, 57, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston. He was born May 24, 1968, in Rembert, to the late Elder Jerry McCall and Elizabeth Johnson McCall. Randy was a 1986 graduate of Hillcrest High School, where he was a standout athlete and a three-sport Letterman in football, basketball and track. He was a member of the 1985 State Championship football team and later continued his football career at Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee. Randy enlisted in 1992 as a 68 Echo and proudly served in the United States Army until retiring in 2016. He loved Crestwood High School sports. He is survived to cherish his memories: his wife of 38 years, Dina McCall, children and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 3440 Sargent Road, Dalzell. Viewing will be 2:00 – 6:00 p. m., Sunday in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. Celebration of Life Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, December 22, 2025 in the Crestwood High School Auditorium, 2000 Highway 401, Sumter. Burial will be 10:00 A. M., Tuesday, December 23, 2025 in the Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, South Carolina. The family is kindly asking that in lieu of flowers, donation be made to the Randy’s Battle, honoring a mission close to Randy’s heart. Randy’s Battle will continue to honor Randy by giving back to ALS and the community that Randy love so much- $RandysBattle.
