God in his infinite wisdom called Sarah Jane Anderson Dean to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Sarah was the seventh child of twelve children born to Joseph and Sallie Lou Abraham Anderson. She was educated in the public schools of Lee County. Her thirst for education continued allowing her to receive her High School Diploma in 1977 from Sumter High School. At an early age, Sarah began her Christian experience at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, where she accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. Her Christian walked continued as a dedicated and faithful member of Unionville A. M. E. Church when she married Henry J. Dean in 1954. She was also a devout member of the Order of Eastern Star, Canty Chapter #178 in Bishopville, South Carolina for over 60 years. Sarah precious memories will be cherished by her children, family and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 209 East Moore Street, Sumter. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a. m., Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Unionville AME Church, 1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. Jerome McCray, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Unionville AME Churchyard Cemetery.
