Lt. Col. Ret. Dr. Albert L. Davis, son of the late Willie Davis and Vermeller D. Goodwin, was born on April 3, 1945 in Marion, SC. He departed this earthly life on November 16, 2025. Dr. Davis leaves to cherish his life and mourn his passing: his wife Alice C. Davis, his children, many other relatives and friends as well. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 535 South Wise Drive, Sumter. Viewing and Visitation will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Good Hope Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 406 Black River Road, Camden, followed by the DKS Closed Final Rites Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, SC 29150. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, 12:00 Noon, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 609 Manning Avenue, Sumter with Dr. Marion H. Newton, Pastor, the Rev. Brenda J. Thomas, officiating. Internment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, 802 North Guignard Drive, Sumter. Services directed by the management and staff of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.
