Welcome to Williams Funeral Home

Herman N. Boone, Sr., son of the late Walter Boone and Bertha Mae Bryant, was born on January 12, 1948, in Sumter, South Carolina. At an early age, he confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, a decision that would guide his path and anchor his heart throughout his journey of life. On November 6, 2025, Herman declared, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” and he went on to be with the Lord. He was educated in the Public Schools of Sumter County and graduated from Ebenezer High School, Dalzell, with the Class of 1966. Soon after, he answered the call and served his country with honor in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1970, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. In 1970, Herman and Annie Mae relocated to Metuchen, N. J. followed by Brunswick, N. J., where they planted deep roots and began building their family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 56 years, Annie Mae Taylor Boone; his children, family, a host of other relatives and friends. Wake with Funeral services will be 9:00 A. M. – 10:00 A. M., Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. James AME Zion Church, 68 Commerce Drive, Perth Amboy, N. J. Burial will follow in the Brigadier General William C.
