Leonard Scott, the youngest of five children of the late Helen Capers and Reverend Brooks Sanders Scott, was born on August 7, 1950, in Allendale, South Carolina, At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Virgin Mary Baptist Church in Allendale. Later in life, he recommitted his walk with the Lord and became a devoted member of Grant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Rembert, South Carolina. He graduated from Allendale-Fairfax High School and went on to earn a B. A. in Political Science from Voorhees University in Denmark, South Carolina. On Thursday, September 18, 2025 with family members by his side, Leonard peacefully entered eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, family members and friends. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Grant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5401 Black River Road, Rembert, with the Rev. Clifton N. Witherspoon, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Grant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
