Catherine Crews, daughter of the late Albert Lesane and Sarah Wilson-Stevens, was born April 12, 1945 in Mayesville, SC. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home in Sumter. She attended the public schools of Sumter County. She received her nursing degree from PTC Career Institute in Washington, DC in 1988. Catherine worked as a devoted caregiver focusing on adult and children care. Her memories will be cherished by her three daughters, family members and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 1020 Spaulding Avenue, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 20, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter with the Rev. Joseph Ricks, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayesville Community Cemetery, Highway 154, Mayesville.
