Carolyn J. Armond, daughter of the late Neal and Dorothy Evans James, was born December 22, 1950, in Sumter, SC. Her uncle, George Washington, was a major contributor to her upbringing. Carolyn made her transition to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Carolyn was educated in the public schools of Sumter County, where she graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1969. In 1971, she attended and received the Licensed Practical Nurse endorsement from the Sumter School of Practical Nursing, Sumter, S.C. Her precious memories will be cherished by her son, family members, other relaties and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 115 Dorcel Street, Sumter Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, September 12, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Elder Frank L. Garrett, officiating. Burial will follow in the Heaven’s Gate Cemetery, Spots Road, Wedgefield.
