Victor Charles Baker, Sr. was born May 7, 1945 to the late Sam and Lucile Baker. He was the husband of Shirley Green Baker. After a brief illness, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, Victor went from labor to reward. Victor attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a 1964 graduate of Ebenezer High School in Dalzell. He was employed as a welder at B L Montague Company and later as a lead foreman at Gold Kist/Pilgrim’s Pride until his retirement. He was a dedicated and proud member of Quinn Chapel A. M. E. Church his entire 80 years. He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his wife, children, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 a. m., Friday, August 29, 2025 at Quinn Chapel A. M. E. Church, 2400 Queen Chapel Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Donna H. Jackson, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Whites Cemetery, Airport Road, Sumter.
