William Reed, affectionately known as “Pat”, was born on July 15, 1947, to the late Robert “Sap” Reed and Lillie Mae Miller Reed. On August 21, 2025, at Regency Hospital in Florence, Pat peacefully transitioned from this life and was called home to be with the Lord. William was a proud 1967 graduate of Ebenezer High School. Shortly after graduation, he answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served with honor and dedication. A man of strong faith and steady character, William was baptized at Union Baptist Church and served faithfully on the Trustee Board. William’s legacy of strength, faith and unconditional love lives on through his children, grandchildren and all who were blessed to know him. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 75 Horatio Hagood Road, Rembert. Celebration of Life services will be held 10:30 a. m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Union Baptist Church, 5840 Spring Hill Road, Rembert, with the Rev. Dr. Walter Robertson III, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
