Apostle LaShonda Smalls peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, June 27, 2025 at her residence. She was the daughter of Timothy Smalls and the late Gloria Jean Rose Smalls. Apostle Smalls leaves a lasting impact of love through her children who carry her spirit and strength forward. Apostle Smalls faithfully led as pastor of Calvary Christian Outreach Ministry, where her powerful sermons, compassionate counsel, and unshakable faith transformed countless lives. Beyond the pulpit, LaShonda served her community as a dedicated nurse for 31 years, tending to the physical and emotional needs of her patients with grace and care. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has worked in many capacities in nursing and most recently as an Epidemiology Nurse for Department of Public Health. She leaves to cherish her memories, her father, three children and a host of other relatives and many friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 3340 Lauderdale Lane, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 609 Manning Avenue, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. Marion H. Newton, Pastor and Pastor Desmond Mitchell, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Sumter Cemetery, 700 West Oakland Avenue, Sumter.
