Booker T. Young, Jr. was born on September 12, 1949 in Rembert to the late Booker T. Young, Sr. and Mary Kendrick Young. He gained his wings on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, New York. Booker T. attended Rafting Creek Elementary School and Ebenezer High School. He was baptized at the Rafting Creek Baptist Church in the summer of 1977 under the leadership of Rev. Willie J. McIllwain. He leaves to mourn his sad passing and always cherish his memories a host of family members and friends. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of his sister, 9345 Camden Highway, Rembert. Celebration of Life Services will be held 1:00 p. m., Thursday, June 12, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Sharyn A. Boyd, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Rafting Creek Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert.
