Veronica Laverne Robinson Nickens was born on January 26, 1967, in Killeen, Texas, to the late John Henry Robinson and Mary Alice Dawson Robinson. “Roni” as she was affectionately called, received her heavenly wings on Monday, March 24, 2025. Roni attended the public schools of Sumter County and was a 1985 graduate of Hillcrest High School in Dalzell. Her precious memories will be cherished by her husband, Thomas I. Nickens, her children, family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m., Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Hopewell Baptist Church, 3285 Peach Orchard Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Richard Addison, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Yard Cemetery.
