George P. Jenkins, Jr. was born on October 6, 1952 in Sumter County, South Carolina. He transitioned peacefully from this life to eternal life on March 19, 2025. Junior, as we called him, love life and was faithful about attending church. He loved praising God. He loved miniature race cars and has a collection of many toys. He loved all of his nieces and nephews. His hobbies were eating good food, enjoying people, dancing and music. His favorite colors were blue and red. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Purdy Jenkins and Mattie Pollard Jenkins. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Mattie L. Jenkins and Jessie Porcher (Edward), both of Rembert, SC; one brother, William Jenkins (Maggie) of Sumter, SC.; a sister-in-law, Delores Jenkins of Rembert, S. C. and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at Joshua Baptist Church, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Eugene Dennis, Pastor. Burial will follow in the Joshua Baptist Church yard Cemetery.
