Ruth Hollomon Nedd, widow of the late Eugene L. Nedd, Sr., was born in Sumter County on September 7, 1951, to the late Nathan Holliman and Rosa McMillon Holliman. On Saturday, March 1, 2025, Ruth departed her earthly life at her residence. She received her formal education in the Sumter School System and graduated from Eastern High School, Class of 1970. Ruth began her Christian journey, at St. Mark UMC in Mayesville, and later joined Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter. Her precious memories will be cherished by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m., Friday, March 7, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter with the Rev. Joseph Ricks, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Mayesville Community Cemetery, Mayesville.
