Herbert James Sr., peacefully departed this life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the age of 94. Herbert was born on November 15, 1930, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Nathan and Katie Dicks James. He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his son, other family members and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 P. M., Thursday, March 6, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. J. Elbert Williams, Eulogist.
