Helen W Felder Cook, daughter of the late Willie Wilkes and Evelyn Shaw Wilkes, was born in Sumter, South Carolina on December 25, 1944. Helen departed this earthly life on January 30, 2025. Helen married Hayes Felder (deceased) of Summerton and had one son. Helen and Hayes moved to Hartford, Connecticut, where she lived and worked for over 40 years. She retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircrafts after 20 years of service. Helen returned to South Carolina then met Henry Cook Jr. whom she married and shared a wonderful life together until his departure on January 13, 2020. She leaves memories to be cherished by her son, other family members and friends. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Wayne Montgomery, Officiating. Burial will be in the Barnettsville Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 106 Manville- St. Charles Road, Bishopville, S. C.
