Gus Bell, son of the late Nathaniel Bell and Ethel Green Bell, was born on March 23, 1944 in Sumter, South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter, South Carolina. Precious memories will be shared by his loving sisters, Lillian Bell McBride, Thelma Mae Bell and Rosa Bell Prince, who lived and cared for him until his death and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held 3:30 p. m., Saturday, February 1, 2025 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Joseph Ricks, Eulogist. Burial followed in the Rubin Billie Cemetery, Gable.
