Mrs. Eliza M. Dixon, the daughter of the late Johnnie Mickens and Neola Thomas Mickens, was born on December 24, 1920 and departed this earthly life on December 27, 2024. As a child, Eliza grew up in the Ashwood Community attending Mechanicsville Church and the Mechanicsville Church School along with her siblings. She had a special love for her church and supported Mechanicsville even after she became ill and could not attend as she wanted. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P. M, Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 184 Lake Ashwood Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Angela N. Hampton, Pastor, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Mechanicsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
