Joseph Elperson Billie, son of the late Ruben Billie, Sr. and Edna McBride Billie, was born on June 14, 1947 and departed this life on December 27, 2024 at the Sumter Health and Rehab Center of Sumter. Joseph was educated in the Public Schools of Sumter County where he attended Eastern High School. Precious memories will be cherished by his children and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A. M., Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Congruity Presbyterian Church USA, 3750 Congruity Road, Gable, with the Rev. Alonzo Washington, Moderator, and the Rev. Esau Billie, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Simon-Billie Cemetery, Gable. The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p. m. at the home, 335 Mooneyham Road, Sumter.
