On the evening of December 23, 2024, God called our angel, Mattie Bertha Diggs Dinkins and she peacefully took his hand and ascended to be with her Lord. She was born November 24, 1931 in Sumter County, to the late Ida Mae Diggs. She spent her entire life in the Rembert area where she received her education from the Sumter County public school system. She accepted Christ as her Savior and became a lifelong member of the Rafting Creek Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health declined. She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 5615 Family Lane, Rembert. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P. M., Monday, December 30, 2024, at Rafting Creek Baptist Church, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert, with the Rev. Melvin Mack, Pastor, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery.
