Lisa Amanda Peoples, daughter of Daisy Ceaser Crowder and the late George N. Copeland and step-daughter of the late Tyrone A. Crowder, was born on October 25, 1973. She passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Lisa attended Lemira Elementary School, Bates Middle School and Sumter High School where she graduated with the Class of June 1991. She also attended and graduated from Central Carolina with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Lisa had a passion for children. She was a child care teacher at Cherry Vale Baptist Christian Day Care for several years during which she became the director for a short period of time. She also worked for Greens Adult Daycare and Love Covenant until her health began to fail. Lisa was united in holy matrimony to Justice People in August 2018. Justice was a devoted loving husband and caregiver until her passing. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Courteni Cain (Derek); two sons, Preston Jerrod Copeland and Dwayne Tyler Richardson; three sisters, Regina O. Bryant (Bill), Freda Copeland Murphy (Marcus), April Copeland; two brothers, Damon Greene (Uniqua) and Joshua Lowery; grandchildren, Bryson Copeland, Jerrod Copeland, Jr., Mianna Amore Richardson and Zymir Ky’ree Cain; brothers-in-love, Bernie (Mary) Peoples and Darryl Peoples; sisters-in-love, Bernice (Michael) Coaxum, Stephanie (Samuel) Bradford and Marie Peoples, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Cherryvale Baptist Church, 1502 Cherryvale Drive, Sumter with the Rev. Steve Dawson, Pastor. Burial followed in the Walker Cemetery, Oakland Avenue, Sumter. The family is receiving relatives and friends at the hoe, 451 Robney Drive, Sumter.
