Marvin Christopher Butler Jr., affectionately known as “Lil Marvin”, was born on July 20, 2009 to Marvin Butler Sr. and Lakysha Nelson. On October 27, 2024. Marvin Butler Jr. left his earthly home for his eternal home. He attended Crestwood High School. He loved basketball, football, rapping and PlayStation. He brought genuine joy to everyone that spent time with him. He definitely had swag. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his special friends, Blessing Hamlin and her Khi’mir Hamlin. Lil’ Marvin’s memory will always be a beacon of light for all who knew him. He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his family and many friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m., Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 609 Manning Avenue, Sumter, with the Rev. Marion H. Newton, Pastor, Rev. Jackie Jackson, Officiating Clergy. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Sumter.
