Jeanette Scarborough passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 in Columbia at the age of 77. She was born on November 17, 1946 in Sumter to the Ernest Sanders, Sr. and Dorothy Griffin Porter. Jeanette graduated from the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in 1967. She was employed by Whitaker Cabinet, Inc. in Mayesville. She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church of Sumter, until she fell ill. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a. m., Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Marvis L. Stewart, pastor of Antioch United Methodist Church, Officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery, 700 West Oakland Avenue, Sumter.
