Rebecca Chestnut-Hunt, daughter of the late Joseph Chestnut, Sr. and Mable McLeod-Chestnut, was born December 19, 1957 in Oswego, South Carolina. She gained her angel wings on June 27, 2024 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Rebecca was a dedicated nurse who touched the lives of many. She worked at Tuomey Hospital and later after moving to Georgia in 1990, she began her career as a home health nurse. She was dedicated and started her own home health agency. Rebecca was able to enjoy and embark on many adventures that included seven continents. She is survived by her sons, Maurice, Travis and Romello; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mildred (Elias), Helen, Mary, Thomasena and Daphne; two brothers, Joseph Jr. and Alphonso; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and her church family at Bridgepointe Church in Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter and Melvin Chestnut; sister-in-law, Patricia Chestnut and grandparents, Walter and Nora McLeod and James and Mary Chestnut. Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. in Covington, Georgia.
