Dosie “Slim” Workman, whom we affectionately called “Dada”, son of the late Jessie Workman, Sr. and Lucille Dinkins Workman, was born December 19, 1939 in Sumter, South Carolina. On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Dosie entered into eternal rest at his home in Jersey City, New Jersey. Dada completed his early education in Sumter. He married his wife, Eva “Sister” Pollard in 1957 and they moved to New Jersey in 1961. He accepted Christ and attended church in Jersey City, N. J. He worked and then was employed by Colonial Concrete until he retired. Dosie enjoyed spending time with his family, driving his car, listening to Blues music like BB King and Muddy Waters, and having a good time with his friends. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 7355 Camden Highway, Rembert, with the Rev. Freddie Davis, Pastor Emeritus of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Rafting Creek Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 3860 Highway 261 North, Rembert.
