Retired Tech Sergeant Denise Patricia “Dee” Morgan, 65, was born on November 10, 1957 to the parents of Harold Marcus Diggs, Jr. and Yvonne Patricia Allen Diggs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Denise departed her earthly life on January 10, 2023 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia. On June 22, 1991, Denise joined in holy matrimony to William Roosevelt Morgan, Jr. Their marriage last for 33 years. Denise graduated from high school and attended college. Later she enlisted in the United States Air Force. During her 20 years of service, Denise received numerous citations and training certificates. The wall in her home is filled with many citations of achievement. She loved helping people on a daily basic. She also has a small business on line (Neicy’s Knick Knacks). She donated to many charities. She was employed at Sylvamo Industry (International Paper) of Sumter, until her passing. Denise leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband, William Roosevelt Morgan, Jr. of Sumter; her mother, Yvonne P. Diggs; three brothers, Gary (Marquita) Diggs of Covina, CA, Marcus Diggs of Connecticut and Darrell Diggs of Chester, and a host of aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at her home, 2162 Kingsbury Drive, Sumter. Wake services will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 from 12:00 - 1:00 p. m. with viewing of Remains until 6:00 p. m. in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. J. Elbert Williams, Officiating, Eulogist. The procession will leave the home at 12:20 p. m.
