Marie Ann Walker entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center, Lexington. She was born August 6, 1962 to the late Robert and Gertrude Walker in Horatio. Marie was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. She worked in the fast food industry. She loved her family and enjoyed music and spending time with her family. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her daughter, Roslyn Walker of Fayetteville, N. C.; two sons, Torres Walker (L’Tisha) of Virginia and Xavier Smith of Delaware; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six sisters, Jereline Walker, Patricia Williams, Wanda Alston, Jennifer Walker, Sandra Williams (Robert), all of Sumter, Gloria Brown (Emanuel) of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Larry and David Walker of Sumter, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Darnell Ruth Ellerbe. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 409 Church Street, Sumter. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p. m., Saturday, September 3, 2022 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. J. Elbert Williams, Officiating. The procession will leave the home at 3:40 p. m. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery, Oakland Avenue, Sumter.
