Almeta Anderson, 62, affectionately known as” Punchie” transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, July 8, 2022 at her home. Born on September 19, 1959 in Sumter County to the late James Anderson, Jr. and Viola Spann Anderson. She received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, she was affiliated with Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Dalzell. Almeta really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She cherished each day to the fullest and never met a stranger. Her infectious smile radiated whenever she held conversations with her family and friends as she sojourned here on earth. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her son, Shawn Anderson of Sumter; one brother, William (Angela) Anderson; one granddaughter, Natalia Barrios of Atlanta, GA; her devoted companion of 30 years, Alston Walter Moore of the home; three aunts, three nephews; one niece; and a host of cousins, and friends. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p. m., Friday, July 15, 2022, in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. The procession will leave the home at 2:00 p. m. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 4620 Queen Chapel Road, Dalzell.
