Terrance James Kelly was born on March 1, 1975 in Sumter. He was one of six children born to the late James and Mable Mack Kelly. God called him to his eternal home to be a part of his angelic choir on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He transitioned from this present life to his Heavenly home while at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter. Terrance was educated in the public schools of Lee County. He attended Claflin College in Orangeburg for about a year before returning home to Bishopville to work. Known for his tireless work ethics and devotion to his family, he was employed by various businesses: South Atlantic Canners Consolidated (Coca Cola, Inc.) in Bishopville, South Carolina Yatenka in Lugoff, Roller Bearing Corporation of America in Bishopville, Pilgrams Pride in Sumter, Honda in Timmonsville and Eaton in Sumter. His labor was not in vain within St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member, his angelic tenor voice could be heard. He briefly attended Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Bishopville, before returning to St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. He was actively involved in singing on various choirs, Male Chorus, Sanctuary Choir and Inspirational Voices. He leaves to mourn his passing: a step son, Terrance D. Stuckey of Bishopville; two daughters, Aquira S. Kelly of Hartsville and Unlanya T. Kelly of Bishopville; four sisters, Felicia Kelly of Simpsonville, Yolanda Kelly of Hartsville, Demetria Kelly of Bishopville and Rasheeda L. Kelly of Simpsonville; one brother, Jonathan L. Kelly of Bishopville; two nieces, one nephew and a host of other relatives. In accordance with COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitations at the home. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 – 11:00 a. m. at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, 510 Manville Wisacky Road, Bishopville, with Rev. Yancy C. Martin, Officiating. The procession will leave the home at 10:45 a. m. Burial will be in the St Mark Missionary Baptist Church Yard Cemetery.
