Houston A. Williams, 44, entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Augusta University Health Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia. He was born October 26, 1977 in Sumter County at Tuomey Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Tommy Lee Wilson and the late Mary Ann Williams. Houston was educated in the Lee County public schools. He was baptized at an early age at Unionville A. M. E. Church. He loved the Lord. He was a good hearted person who would give you the shirt off his back and loved helping others. Houston was also known as ”Pumpkin” and “C-Beast”. He had a very strong work ethics and loved to work. He was employed at Sizemore Security as a Security Guard and Kellogg’s, where he worked with replacing fire extinguishers. He also worked with Lawn Care and multiple other jobs. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Jacquetta Wilson of Bishopville, and Tameka Johnson of Augusta, GA; three brothers, Daryl Wilson, TeTe Wilson, both of Elliott, Daryl Johnson of Columbia; seven aunts, a special aunt who served as a mother figure in his life, Lillie (Jerome) Zinnerman, Beverly Williams, both of Hephzibah, GA, Senora (Rev. Waymon) Mumford of Florence, Rosa Mae (William) Peoples of Atlanta, GA, Bertha Wilson, Geraldine Wilson, Olean Pallet, all of Bishopville; three uncles, Jimmy McMillian, Moses Lowry, both of New York, Russell Wilson of Bishopville; two special cousins raised up like brothers, Sherard (Monica) Williams of Hephzibah, GA, Ronald (Karen) Williams of Atlanta, Ga, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In accordance with COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitations at the home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. Waymon Munford, Eulogist. Burial will be in the Unionville A. M. E. Church Yard Cemetery, 1330 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville.
