Pearline Rogers Scott was born October 8, 1945 in Lee County to the late Hosea and Doshia Rogers. She departed this life on Friday, February 11, 2022 at her home in Elliott surrounded by her loved ones. She received her education in Lee County public school system. After graduating from Mount Pleasant High School in 1964, she moved to Philadelphia, PA with her uncle and aunt Tommy and Gloria Thomas where she was introduced to the Lord as her personal Savior. She returned to South Carolina and later joined Gethsemane Apostolic Church where she served as Missionary President and vice President of the Pastor Aide department until her health began to fail. She leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Paulette (Jene) Eaddy of the home and Orlando (Wendy) Scott of Moncks Corner; her chosen blessed daughter, Rosie (Elbert) Lee; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; siblings are Ida (Lee) Ellis of Florence, Ann Belton of Orangeburg, Lee Rogers of Columbia, May R. Caesar of Mayesville; Hosea (Debbie) Rogers II of Oviedo Fla and Thelma (Steven) Graves of Columbia; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 83 Sugar Hill Drive, Bishopville. The procession will leave the home at 12:20 p. m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Gethsemane Apostolic Church, 769 Highway 76 West, Lynchburg, , with Bishop Calvin McNeil, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Gethsemane Apostolic Church Cemetery.
