Louise Graham Adekunle, daughter of the late James Turner Graham and the late Mary Lowery-Graham, was born July 15, 1945 in Sumter County. She departed this life on February 5, 2022 at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount, N. C. She was educated in Lee County Public Schools and in the early 1960’s she moved to Washington, D. C. in pursuit of a better life. She found just that when she began and continued to work for the Washington Hospital Center for 25 years. When she relocated back to South Carolina, she joined Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Willie Smith, Jr. (Royeshia-Bee) and Patrick Smith; two grandsons, Brian Proctor, Darius Proctor; three grandsons-by-love, Nehemiah Thornton, Nekhijan Thornton, Nasir Thornton; two granddaughters, Briana Proctor and Chloe Proctor; four sisters, Renell Demonia of Washington, DC, Hannah Graham of Sumter, Maggie Thomas of St. Stephen, and Betty J. Williams of Landover, MD; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; three goddaughters; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p. m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Rev. Daniel Bennett, Eulogist. The procession will leave the home at 12:20 p. m. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, Sumter.
