Celebrating the life of Brenda Lee “Pat” Sanders White, daughter of the late John Thomas Sanders, Sr. and Mary Sue Wright Sanders, was born on July 6, 1956 in Sumter County. She departed this life on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Well Star Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia. She received her education in the public schools of Sumter County. She gave her life to Christ at an early age at Second Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Sunday School, Missionary Society and many other ministries. She was an amazing cook in the public schools of Sumter County, Cole’s Restaurant and other jobs in Sumter and Huntsville, Alabama. She leaves to mourn her memories: two sisters, Rosamary Sanders Drayton (James), Victoria Sanders (Eddie) of Sumter; three brothers, Rickey Glenn Sanders of North Philadelphia, PA, Gussie Sanders (Elizabeth) of Sumter, Curtis Sanders of Anderson; five daughters, Sherrie Denise White of Austell, GA, Theresa Selena White, Tiffeny Evon White, Larissa Lawanda White, one special daughter, Waverly Washington, all of Sumter; one son, Robert James Pearson White of Manning; four bonus children, Edwin Sanders, Sherman Sanders, Lakeshia Sanders, Clinton Sanders, all of Sumter; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; one uncle, Oliver “Sonny” Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 12 Phillips Street, Sumter. Funeral services were held 12:00 noon, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at St. Paul Holiness Church, 129 West Moore Street, Sumter, with Pastor Barrington Pierson, Pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the New Covenant Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Martin Town Road, Sumter.
