Elizabeth Richardson was born on April 3, 1952 to Richard Richardson and Viola Edwards Richardson in Sumter County. She departed this early life on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Elizabeth was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Mayewood High School, Class of 1971. Elizabeth was a woman who loved God, her family and friends. She joined Faith Deliverance Church under her pastor, Bishop Jeffrey Johnson, where she did the work of the Lord, ushering, singing on the choir and lending a helping hand when needed. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Constance Dailey, Fredrika Richardson, Kawana Mitchell, Bernadette Hayes and James Woods III; eleven grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Travis Durant, Bishop Robert Mitchell; a daughter-in-law, Cassandra Lewis; three sisters, Lerlene Peterson, Martha Salvis, Patricia Dingle-Ward; two brothers, William Richardson, Milton Richardson, and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousin and her best friend, Laverna Jackson-Walker, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during all visitation at the home, 207 Institute Street, Mayesville. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p. m., Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Mission of Faith Apostolic Ministries, 116 West Main Street, Timmonsville, with Bishop Jeffrey Johnson, Eulogist and Apostle Irene Fulmore, presiding. The Remains will be placed in the church at 1:00 p. m. for viewing until time of services. The procession will leave the home at 1:20 p. m.
