Charles Ronnie Jennings, 62, entered into eternal rest on September 29, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Charles was born on February 4, 1959 in Lee County. He was the youngest son of the late Robert Lee Jennings and Leila Jennings Surles. He was an avid fisherman and landscaper. His hobbies included fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Nathan (Shemika) Williams; granddaughters, Tia and Tyeshia; two aunts, Desi Davis and Kathleen Jennings; five sisters, Roberta Colclough, Jackie (William) Champagne, Mae (Eddie) McMillan, Janie (John) McKnight and Bernette (Michael) Norris; a brother, Thomas (Wilhelmina) Jennings; special nephews whom he reared as his own, Joseph Jennings and Demarco Norris; eighteen other nephews; seventeen nieces, and a host of great nephews and nieces, family and friends. In accordance with the COV19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitations at the home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 – 11:00 a. m. in the John Wesley Williams, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter. The procession will leave from 2 Cheyne Street, Sumter, at 10:20 a. m. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery, Sumter.
