On Wednesday, September 22, 2021, our sweet brother, Ernest Darby, entered into everlasting rest. Ernest was born on August 10, 1965 in Sumter County. He was a loving son of the late Sonny Boy and Beulah Darby. He received his education in the public schools in the area of Sumter County. Those left to cherish his memories other than his sisters, Gloria Darby of the home, Marie Bradford of Columbia; one uncle, Delgard Bradford of the home; three step children, Bernard Davis, Aliyah Davis, Kadesa Davis; father and mother-in-law, Julius and Anna Mack of Lamar; his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 4400 Broad Street, # 38, Sumter. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p. m., Monday, September 27, 2021 at Roderick Cemetery, Lamar. The procession will leave the home at 12:00 noon.
