Jameika Grant Middleton was born January 10, 1980 in Kershaw County to the late Norman and Linda Grant. She departed this life on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Atruim Health in Charlotte, N. C. Jamieka graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School. She attended Benedict College, Columbia, then served in the United States Army Reserves. She was an amazing mother, sister and friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed laughing and making everyone laugh. She leaves to cherish her memories: Shawn Middleton, Sr., a son, Shawn Middleton, Jr.; a daughter, Brenna Middleton; a sister, Janell (Everett) Daniels of Lexington, and a brother, Norman (Jameka) Grant, Jr. of Lugoff; mother-in-love, Darlene (Anthony) Middleton; a brother-in-love, Brantley Middleton, both of Columbia, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COV19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home, 215 Ward Road, Lugoff. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 – 11:00 a. m. in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with the Rev. Dr. J. Elbert Williams, officiating. The procession will leave from the home at 10:00 a. m. Burial will be in the Unity Family Life Center, 274 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff.
