Regina Wells, daughter of the late Reginald Moses and Mariah Robinson Moses, was born in Harlem, New York on February 27,1940. She departed this life on April 19, 2021 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. She was baptized as a Witness at age 16 and raised as a Jehovah Witness from childhood. She was raised in Harlem, N. Y. and attended Eramus High School. Her parents moved to Brooklyn, N. Y, where she met and married the late Russell Wells, Sr. The couple moved to Mt. Vernon, N. Y. and she worked at Mt. Vernon Hospital for over 20 years. Later she moved to Sumter and worked for Richland Memorial Hospital. She did not hesitate in being devoted to her studies of being a Witness. She leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Rochelle Wells Robinson, Alletha Courtney Skolewec, Regina Wells Webb, and Deborah Wells; one son, Reginald Wells; two sisters, Cynthia Moses Inabinett and Ouida Moses Washington; six granddaughters; six grandsons, and a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends. In accordance with COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during limited visitation at the home, 211 West Hampton Avenue, Apt #5, Sumter. Services will be held 11:00 a. m., Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Bro. Willie E. Miller, officiating. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery, Oakland Avenue, Sumter. The procession will leave from the home at 10:20 a. m.
