Bobby Lee Jenkins, 66, was born in Sumter County on April 9, 1954 to Willie Jenkins, Sr. and Corine Jenkins. On Thursday, November 5, 2020, God in His infinite wisdom summoned an angel of death to claim the soul of our beloved, Bobby Lee Jenkins, to his eternal reward while at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. Bobby received his formal education in the public schools of Sumter County. Bobby was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. When times got rough he knew to lean on God’s unchanging hands and place all his worries in his care. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Corine Jenkins; and one sister, Ruby (Jimmy) Croskey, both of Sumter; two aunts, Placeda Thompson of Sumter, Irene Rembert of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family is requesting no visitation at the home. Graveside services will be held 3:00 p. m., Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Evergreen Memorial Park, 802 North Guignard Drive, Sumter with the Rev. Larry Barnes, pastor of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. The procession will leave from the home at 2:30 p. m.
