Louise Alston Knox, 77, was born on June 27, 1943 to the late Walter and Janie Davis Alston and gained her Heavenly Wings on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at her home. She attended the Sumter County Public School System and later moved to Brooklyn, New York, when she married the late David Knox, Jr. Upon her return to Rembert, she was employed with Gold Kist Inc., Poultry Division until she retired in June 2005. She was baptized at an early age and became a member of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, where she grew in the service and grace of God. She served on the Sanctuary I and Nightingales Choirs and was a member of the YWA until her health failed. Louise leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Kerry Alston of the home, David (Debbie) Knox III, Darran (Carol) Knox, Retired Staff Sgt. Gregory Knox, all of Rembert; two sisters, Bertha Alston Wilson and Theresa Lacey, both of Rembert; one brother-in-law, Deacon James (Julia) Knox of Dalzell; one aunt, Alta Mae Patton of Dalzell; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In accordance with the COV19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends at all home visitation, 5935 Dinkins Mill Road, Rembert. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a. m, Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church Yard Cemetery, 7355 Camden Highway, US 521, Rembert, with the Rev. Anthony Taylor, Sr., pastor, officiating. Procession will leave the home at 9:20 a. m.
